I was taking new pics of Yoda and Squeakers and after looking at the pics I couldn't believe how much they look like their father Beau! So I did a comparison photo, check it out!!!
We have been working on my website! We have added a lot of things on there.
A few new things you will see is that we are now asking new buyers to tell us about yourself and why you are looking for a new bun. We take pride and love all our buns/kits and we want nothing but the best for them. So when filling out the contact from please tell us about you, your family, why you are looking, if you have any other pets, own your home or rent, etc. Also we are also now asking for Vet references, and also added that if you ever got a bun from us and are unable to care for it we will gladly take our bun back, but we do need a updated/recent (within 1 month) checkup from a vet stating it was seen. It is very important for use to have that so we no there isn't any unknown health problems, etc to the buns. When bring in a bun we quarantine for 30 days away from our buns, we don't want the health of our buns to be in any danger in anyway. We also are not selling to breeders any longer, only pet homes. When we have litters we won't have any new upcoming litters until those kits have been place in homes. I don't believe in over breeding. Once all kits from litters are sold that mother's that had kits get a nice relaxing vacation. When we fill the time is right we will breed some different mothers. Never will we re-breed the same doe right way after just having a litter. As we like to say Pets 1st breeders 2nd/last. Again our buns are our family/kids and we want they best care for our babies. Any question please feel free to contact us. Look forward to hearing form you! Well the end of 2013 is almost coming to a end in only 2 1/2 months....
It has been a challenging 2013 and looking forward to 2014! Greatly looking forward to many more wonderful years with our buns and positive energy! I will say one this that will not be left behind in 2013 is the passing of Beau and Zangief they will be in our hearts when we bring in the new year and many years to come! It will also be our 1st Christmas without Beau and I think it will be my hardest Christmas this year, but we will celebrate the life of him and Zangief :) On another note Halloween is coming up and here at Beau's Maple Leaf Rabbitry we want to wish every child in the world to have a safe night and enjoy your candy, after your parents check over it :) I know my kiddo's are looking forward to it! Will post again in Nov and Dec... please check back for updates on pages and blog - Love, Beau's Maple Leaf Rabbtiry! Well it has been a busy couple months here at Beau's Maple Leaf Rabbitry.
We had 3 litters lined up, Maple, Addie and Bluebell's. As you know we had to re-breed Maple and Addie didn't take again, so we found her a great retirement home. Bluebell took as I thought, however it was a very rough process for her. The labor was very long. She started at 9:33 pm on Friday the 27th of Sept. she didn't pass the kit which was a DOA til 3 pm the next day. Unfortunately the kit for some reason was longer than normal, under developed. Which sometimes can happen. I was saddened to find out that this isn't the first time she has had longer than normal labors and DOA's. So putting out Bluebell's health first we are thinking it may not be a good idea to re-breed her. Her safety comes first and she might be looking for a nice retirement home. We will keep you updated on her. I want to checking into this problem with other breeders and a vet that we finally found that deals with rabbits. On a better note, Yoda finally figure out breeding. We bred him to Bailey!! We are hoping that Bailey took and will find out in another week or so. We are also letting Rocco move on to Munchkinland Rabbitry in CT and in return we are getting a new doe name: Lolita. She is a Broken Chocolate Chestnut. I spoke to the current breeder that owns her and she is a great mother, she is actually just weaning a litter and on the 25th of Oct. we will be going to get her. In other news, Vanellope Von Sweetz is ready to be bred anytime now, but we are going to wait for the right time. I don't want to over breed and have too many litters at one time in our Rabbtiry. Also every other bun is going great and super spoiled. Thanks for stopping by and check out site for new updates regularly!!! -Lots of Love from Beau's Maple Leaf Rabbtiry! |
